Merlin and Prince Arthur

Merlin. I fell in love with this British series ever since it was aired on TV3.Since then, I have been following the latest news, gossips and the upcoming projects related to this brilliant series. This drama is a work of fiction based on the famous legend of Prince Arthur. The reason that I like this series so much is because its themes consist of all my favorite aspects about life: romance, prince, drama, adventure, magic, witch and Colin Morgan. Alright guys! I admit that I’m totally insane for ignoring the gorgeous Bradley James, creature of the light, but I'm completely into Merlin. I think that Colin Morgan had done a great job in portraying the pure-hearted, reliable, cunning, and slightly childish Merlin. I just love the idea of a superhero that did good deeds behind the scene without expecting any rewards or compliments.

Merlin is a magician who arrives at the city of Camelot, after his mother arranges for him to become an apprentice of Gaius, the local physician. He discovers that the king, Uther Pendragon has outlawed magic and has imprisoned the last dragon deep under the city. The dragon informs Merlin that he has an important destiny to protect Uther's son, Arthur, who will bring forth a great Kingdom. When he meets Arthur for the first time he believes that he is arrogant and Arthur views Merlin as subservient, as Merlin has to keep his magic a secret or face execution at the hands of Uther. The strength of this drama other than humor is the relationship between Merlin and Arthur. The bond between them is stronger than real brothers and thicker than blood. It was written in the heaven that both of them shall share the same glorious dream and destiny. Back to back, they had fought countless of battles together. Without Merlin there is no Arthur and if not because of Arthur, Merlin is nothing. Despite the contrast in their social status, Arthur and Merlin share a lot of common traits: Bravery, Loyalty, Pride and Dignity. Good qualities that are lacking in nowadays teens. Honestly, I am really anxious about the Arthur reactions when he learns that Merlin is a sorcerer. Is he going to turn into a cold-hearted person, throwing their years of friendship away, and executes his first and only best friend? It is very interesting how the situation might turn out.

Other than that, another question that really intrigued me is who is going to be Merlin’s woman? Okay that is a super tough question. Up until now, there is not even a slightest clue regarding Merlin’s romance life. At first, I thought that Morgana is the most possible candidate as a Merlin’s lover but she turn out to be a dangerous damn witch who going to be his greatest enemy. What a waste for such a lovely girl to be consumed by evil and hatred. Open your eyes Morgana, Merlin is a wizard as well so you are not alone in this world. Please don’t hate Merlin because he was crying when he poisoned you and he did not do it on purpose. He had no other choice and to hurt someone that he hold so dearly, couldn’t you imagine how great pain he in? Merlin is crying Morgana! Merlin is crying silently. Oh my, without my notice, it turns out to be another article about love even though I remind myself so hard at the beginning to not write something emotional. Lol.
